MEET LUCY
OWNER & FOUNDER
Glowbar was founded in 2019 by Lucy Peake, a CIDESCO-qualified therapist trained at the Oxford International College of Beauty. With over fifteen years of experience in the beauty industry — specialising in aesthetic treatments and advanced skincare — Lucy has always been passionate about helping people feel confident in their own skin.
Her journey began in some of the industry’s most prestigious salons, where she worked in both hands-on therapy and management roles. With a sharp eye for detail and a genuine care for her clients, Lucy quickly built a reputation for delivering results-driven treatments with a personal, intuitive touch. Eventually, she took the leap to go self-employed — with the encouragement of close friends and family — and brought her vision to life with the launch of Glowbar.
What began as a home-based studio soon evolved into something bigger. In January 2024, Glowbar opened the doors to its first high street salon — a beautifully designed space in the heart of Jericho, Oxford.
Just four months later, Lucy welcomed her son Freddie into the world — making 2024 a year of transformation in every sense, both professionally and personally.
At the heart of Glowbar is a clear and powerful ethos: we believe that feeling good in your own skin can be a transformative thing. We’re not here to change how you look, but to enhance what’s already uniquely yours. Our salon is rooted in a fundamentally feminist approach — one that celebrates individuality, self-expression and the kind of confidence that comes from embracing your own version of beauty. We don’t believe in one ideal — only your own.

Salon Manager & Receptionist
Lucy
Lucy joined the Glowing in June 2025 and instantly became part of the furniture (the stylish kind, obviously), even if the multiple Lucys have caused the occasional mix-up!
After spent years as the Spa Manager at Soho Farmhouse, bringing with her a sharp eye for the little luxuries.
Beauty Therapist
Hannah
Hannah is with us full time and is an expert in everything beauty therapy. With over 10 years in the industry, she specialises in holistic treatments (she’s even a qualified Reiki healer) and is our go-to for all things massage, facials and skincare.

Daisy
Our full time therapist Daisy has been in the industry since 2022 carrying out all aspects of beauty. Daisy has a keen eye for detail and favours more precision focused treatments such as our "Woke Up Like This" package, or a simple brow shape and tint.
Nail Technician
Meg
Meg joined Glowbar in July 2025 after making a big life move from Birmingham to Oxford. Starting at the busiest time of year, she was thrown in at the deep end and met the challenge head-on, quickly becoming a much-loved and integral part of the team.

Rheanne
Beauty therapist Rheanne is a familiar face in oxfordshire's beauty scene with over 10 years experience and a celebrity client base. Rheanne is with us part time and spends the rest of her time working with Facegym at Soho Farmhouse.

Monika
Globally trained massage expert Monika knows everything there is to know about the body. From Aomathapy to Lymphatic Drainage Monika has you covered. Monika is with us part time offering a wide range of beauty services with her abundant knowledge and experience.
Lash Technician
Anneisha
A complete perfectionist in all aspects of her life, Anneisha trained in lashes because she was that fussy lash client and this was a skill she knew she could channel that precision into. Anneisha is with us on a part time basis and spends most of the rest of her time chasing after her beautiful daughter.
